Social Inclusivity of the Low Carb Healthy Fat Diet and Ketogenic Diet
I see people of all ages, food backgrounds, dietary cuisines, and food beliefs.
One of the things I love about the low carb/ ketogenic approach to eating is that no one is excluded. It doesn’t matter what your food philosophy/belief, intolerants or allergies are. You can go low carb, high healthy fat! And while it is easier to do when you eat animal foods, it’s not mandatory (but it might take a bit of extra work/planning). Just google "vegan keto" or "vegetarian keto", or "vegan/vegetarian low carb"! You will find so many amazing recipes that cater to the lower carb higher fat approach, while still allowing you to follow your dietary beliefs!
Even for a ketogenic diet, there are omnivore food sources of healthy fat (e.g. butter, ghee, bacon grease, lard, tallow) and protein (e.g. meat, fish, pork, poultry, eggs); and vegan sources of healthy fats (e.g. avocado, olives, coconut oil), carbohydrates (e.g. leafy greens, non-starchy vegetables, low carb fruit), and protein (e.g. nuts, seeds, hemp seeds, tofu). What matters is finding your personal needs for protein and carbohydrates, and eating fat until you are full! Find the appropriate foods you choose to eat and enjoy every bite. :)
